What is a Processing Unit (PU)?
A Processing Unit (PU) is a standardized measure of the AI and data resources consumed by INTELLIGENT CORE™ when performing analytics, decision-making, and workflow automation tasks. It allows us to quantify usage in a transparent, predictable way so you only pay for the intelligence you use.
How is a PU Calculated?
Each PU is based on the computational and data processing effort required for specific tasks, including:
- Data Ingestion: Processing real-time or historical data from IoT sensors, databases, or external sources.
- AI Model Execution: Running analytics, such as predictive maintenance or anomaly detection, using Intelligent Core Models (ICMs).
- Decision-Making Workflows: Executing AI-driven decisions across edge nodes or systems in your operations.
For example:
- A single PU might represent the processing required to analyze 1,000 IoT sensor data points or execute one AI-driven decision in a workflow.
